Vehicles with a 2.5L diesel engine
The fuel cutoff solenoid valve for the injection pump opens the fuel supply when the ignition is switched on. It should be checked if the engine does not start or continues to run after the ignition is turned off.
Examination
1. Turn the ignition on and off. In this case, the solenoid valve should make a click.
Otherwise, disconnect the power wire from the valve and connect an auxiliary wire to it from the positive pole of the battery. If now the valve clicks, then check the voltage supply to it according to the electrical circuit, and if necessary, replace the valve itself.
Removing
2. Disconnect the wire and unscrew valve 1 fuel cut-off (see illustration).
Installation
3. Install the piston and spring by removing them from the old one into the new fuel cut-off valve. Make sure the O-rings are properly seated in their positions.
4. Install the new valve in place and fix it with bolts with a force of 20 Nm and connect the power cable.
