Cars with 2.5L diesel engine
The intake manifold must be removed to provide access to the components being repaired, for example when performing work on the fuel system.
Removal
1. Remove the protective covers over the engine and the boost air line.
2. Remove the intake manifold 2 from the cylinder head (see illustration).

The procedure for removing the manifold is as follows:
3. Disconnect the boost air temperature sensor 3 wire (see illustration 6.2)
4. Disconnect the low pressure hose from the diaphragm valve 5 of the EGR system and from the intake manifold (see illustration 6.2).
5. Unscrew the bolts securing the intake manifold to the cylinder head and to the support bracket, and then remove it together with the sealing gaskets 1 (see illustration 6.2). Valve 5 of the exhaust gas recirculation system and its gasket 4 do not need to be removed (see illustration 6.2).
Installation
6. Install the intake manifold in place and tighten it with bolts to a torque of 25 Nm. Pre-tighten all sealing gaskets to new ones. Also tighten the oil pump mounting bracket and the EGR pipe to the intake manifold with bolts to a tightening torque of 25 Nm.
7. Install the protective covers over the engine and the boost air line.
