Adjusting the starter cover (Opel Kadett D)

Remove the air filter.

Remove the air filter.


Loosen the clamping ring screws. Turn the cover in the desired direction, adjusting the fast idle cut-off time according to the data table.

Secure the clamping ring.

Install the air filter.

Adjust idle speed, see paragraph 4.31.

Adjust the starting valve clearance, see p. 4.27.

If the cover was removed, then when installing it, make sure that the bimetallic plate is caught by the leash of the cake damper.
