Measuring the tilt clearance of a bearing block (Opel Corsa C)

Note: If there is noticeable play on the installed wheel, measure it as follows.

Removal

Remove the corresponding rear wheel.

For vehicles with drum brakes: remove the brake drum.

Attach the special tool KM-468-B to the wheel hub.

Attach the special tool MKM-571-B to the brake caliper or brake shield using the magnetic holder or bracket.

Install the sensor if the special tool MKM-571-B is on the outer edge of the brake disc or wheel bearing.

Check the clearance by lifting the special tool KM-468-B slightly.

Maximum allowable inclined clearance: 0.1 mm.

Note: If this value is exceeded, replace the wheel bearing.

Installation

Remove the special tool MKM-571-B with bracket or magnetic holder.

Remove special tool KM-468-B.

For vehicles with drum brakes: Install the brake drum

Install the rear wheel, tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 110 Nm.
