Removal and installation the driver's airbag module (Opel Corsa C)

            0

1. The driver's front airbag module is built into the steering wheel hub. Before performing work, carefully read the requirements given in Section 1.

2. Disconnect the wires and insulate the battery terminals. Wait at least 1 minute to allow the SRS independent power supply capacitor to discharge completely.

3. Remove 2 screws (see accompanying illustration) and carefully separate the airbag module from the steering wheel.

4. Remove the safety lock and disconnect the electrical wiring from the module (see accompanying illustration), - do not forget to remove any electrostatic voltage from yourself beforehand (see above). Put the module aside (to a safe place) decorative lid facing up.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. All operations must be carried out carefully.

Caution: When connecting wires to the battery terminals (see Chapter 5) no one should be inside the car!


6. Turn on the ignition and check the serviceability of the additional safety system according to the readings of the control lamp (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques", Sections 13 and 16).
