The oil filter housing is located on the front side of the power unit, between the exhaust manifold and the clutch housing, and is equipped with a replaceable filter element. The need to remove the filter housing assembly arises when its housing is damaged or when oil leaks from under its mounting flange to replace the sealing gasket.
You will need: all the tools needed to remove the manifold, as well as a TORX E12 socket head.
1. Remove the collector (see Removal and installation of the collector, replacement of its gasket).
Note. It is necessary to remove the collector because it blocks access to one of the bolts securing the oil filter housing.
2. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the case of the filter to the block of cylinders …
3.... and remove the filter.
4. Prying with a screwdriver..
5.... remove the gasket from the groove of the filter housing flange.
6. Place a new gasket in the filter housing flange groove and install the filter and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
