1. Adjustment of the mechanism is necessary in cases of a removed gearbox or difficult gear shifting.
2. Loosen the clamp bolt, which is located in front of the transmission select shaft, near the bulkhead of the engine compartment (behind the engine). On some vehicles, access to the clamp bolt is provided from above.
3. In the cabin, remove the gear lever boot and lock the lever in neutral by inserting a tool (e.g. 5 mm drill) into the hole of the clamp, which is located on the left side of the base of the lever, and into the reciprocal hole under the clamp (see photo).
4. Rotate the selector shaft against the force of the spring and block the selector shaft by pressing the pin in the selector cover at the top of the transaxle case (see photo).
5. Tighten clamp bolt in 2 steps (see technical data).
6. Remove the tool that fixed the lever and engage reverse gear (at the same time, the gear selection mechanism is automatically unlocked).
7. Check up reliability of inclusion of transfers, having moved the lever to all provisions.
