Shift Lever and Gear Select Shaft
1. Raise the front of the vehicle and place on stands. Remove the lower engine/gearbox guard.
2. Mark the position of the clamp relative to the shaft and loosen the clamp bolt. Engage 4th gear and remove the shaft from the clamp and boot.
3. Remove the center floor section.
4. Turn away screws and remove the panel of switches near the lever, having disconnected sockets.
5. Turn away 4 nuts and remove the lever with a shaft of a choice of transfers.
6. Remove the brace (cotter pin) and disconnect the shaft from the lever.
Backstage
7. Remove the shaft from the yoke and boot following the steps above.
8. Remove the backstage axle (see photo), which is located at the top of the checkpoint.
9. Remove the rocker bracket mounting brackets and remove the rocker. If necessary, unscrew the bolts and remove the brackets.
10. Check backstage condition (see photo). Replace worn parts.
11. Installation of the lever and shaft is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten clamp bolt in 2 steps (see technical data). Adjust the gear selector shaft if necessary.
12. When installing the backstage, replace the axle, lubricate the ball joints with silicone grease. Fasten the yoke with brackets, making sure that the brackets fit into the grooves on the bracket (see photo). Make sure the yoke axle is securely held by the latch (see photo).
