To reduce loss of refrigerant during hose disconnection, the cooling system can be drained or the baffle hoses can be pinched.
Place a suitable container, then disconnect the hoses from the heater core fittings. Let the refrigerant drain into the vessel.
Remove the center console as directed in chapter 12.
Carefully disconnect the two pipes at the bottom of the air lines located in front of the heater casing.
Remove the five bolts securing the lower heater core cover, then lift the air ducts so that the cover can be pulled out.
Carefully pull the heater core out of the casing (remember that metal fins are sharp and easily damaged).
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure that the pipes are securely fastened to the air lines and that the cooling system hoses are connected to the heater nozzles.
Fill the cooling system.
