Removal and installation ashtrays (Opel Vectra C)

Front ashtray

1. Using a plastic wedge, remove the gearshift lever/selector housing trim frame from the center console (see illustration 34.4).

2. Open the lid and pull out the ashtray tray, holding it by the side edges (see accompanying illustration).



3. Using the holes in the walls of the ashtray mounting housing, pull it upwards with force (see illustration 35.2), release from the holder and remove from the center console.

4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Rear ashtray

5. Open the rear ashtray on the end wall of the center console, press the retaining spring down (see accompanying illustration) and remove the ashtray tray from the mounting housing.

6. Using a plastic wedge, pry the mounting housing out of its recess on the rear section of the center console (see illustration 35.5).
