2. Remove the protective boot clamps and slide the protective boot off the drive shaft.
3. Clean out the old CV joint grease and refill the CV joint with new grease.
4. Install the new protective boot on the drive shaft so that the flange of the protective boot fits into the grooves of the drive shaft. The inner flange of the protective boot must be 135 mm from the end of the drive shaft. If the drive shaft has two grooves, the inner flange of the protective boot must be installed at a distance of 123 mm from the end of the drive shaft.
5. Fill the CV joint with fresh grease.
6. Install the constant velocity joint with a new retaining ring on the drive shaft. In this case, the retaining ring must be clearly fixed in the groove of the drive shaft.
7. Establish a collar of fastening of a protective cover.
8. Install the protective cover on the constant velocity joint, then release the air from under the protective cover.
9. Secure the protective cover with new clamps.
10. Install the drive shaft in the vehicle.
