

1. Remove the drive shaft. Remove the clamp securing the drive shaft protective boot and slide the rubber protective boot onto the drive shaft.
2. Using pliers or a screwdriver, expand the retaining ring that secures the drive shaft joint to the drive shaft.

3. Using a rubber mallet or hammer, tap the joint off the drive shaft.
4. Install the joint with a new snap ring on the drive shaft so that the snap ring is firmly fixed in the groove of the drive shaft.
5. Fill the joint with grease.
6. Install the rubber hinge cover.
7. Install the drive shaft into the vehicle.
