Fuel grades for gasoline engines (Opel Vectra B)

Standard high-quality fuel grades are suitable. Fuel quality significantly affects the engine's power, performance, and service life. Admixtures (additives) mixed with fuel are of great importance. Therefore, fill only high-quality grades of fuel with additives.

Using fuel with insufficient octane rating may result in knocking noise caused by early ignition timing.

Fuel with a higher octane number can be used in all cases.

For vehicles that require unleaded petrol, it is not possible to insert a fuel pump nozzle containing leaded petrol into the fuel filler neck.

All engines with spark ignition of the working mixture (except 16 LZ 2) is carried out depending on the variety (octane number) filled fuel, automatic ignition control.

Economical operation of the vehicle is achieved by using fuel with an octane rating of 95.

In vehicles with a 16 LZ 2 engine, the electronic system allows you to choose between two octane numbers by reinstalling the coding plug in the engine compartment.

The selected octane number is marked in front of the locking bracket. If you need to fill up with gasoline with a different octane number, you should use up the fuel in the tank as much as possible, fill up, turn off the ignition, remove the coding fork from the holder, open the locking bracket, pull out the coding fork, turn it 180°, insert it into place, lock it, install it in the holder.

Fuel grades with a higher octane number than coded do not cause any harm.
