Modifications are not announced during the production of cars, except for major changes. Individual vehicle numbers can be used to identify the components required for repair.
Always give as much information as possible when ordering spare parts. Enter the vehicle model, year of manufacture, vehicle identification number, and/or engine number.

In 1995, the Opel firm introduced "Car passport". This is a card that is issued to the customer when buying a car. It contains important information such as VIN number, key number and radio code. There is also a special code for diagnostic equipment, so the card must be kept in a safe place, not in the car.
