Electric outside mirror adjuster — removal and installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Use a lever to remove the plastic frame from the inside door handle.

Release the trim panel from the top edge of the door by removing the retaining clips. This can be done with a screwdriver, but it is better to use a forked grip to reduce the possibility of damaging the trim panel and clips.

Note the position of the mirror switch wiring connector on the bracket at the top of the door, then separate the two halves of the connector.

Use a pry bar to remove the switch from the door trim panel and pull the wiring out through the panel.

Installation

Installation is done in reverse order, but make sure that the electrical wiring is laid correctly so as not to interfere with the door interior trim mechanism.
