The information display shows the time, date, radio settings, outside temperature, for vehicles with a telephone, additional telephone-related information, as well as malfunctions of the automatic transmission and automatic headlight adjustment.
When the ignition is on, the time is shown on the display permanently, and the date - only when the radio is turned off.
When the light is on, the brightness of the display can be adjusted using the knob located under the light switch on the right.
With the ignition off, the time, date and outside temperature can be displayed for approximately 15 seconds by briefly pressing one of the two buttons located above the display.
Setting the date and time
Turn off the radio. Installation is carried out using the and buttons above the display.
Press the button for about 2 seconds to make the date number blink.

Automatic time setting
Only possible when receiving RDS stations that broadcast accurate time signals.
Display of outdoor temperature
A drop in the outdoor temperature is shown on the display immediately, and an increase after a certain delay.
Ice warning at outdoor temperatures above 3°C is symbolized by an icon on the display. When the outdoor temperature rises, this icon disappears when the air temperature is about 5°C.
If the vehicle is equipped with a telephone, the outdoor temperature information is displayed as shown in the illustration (Au entemp. - outside air temperature).
Fault display
The appearance on the display of - -, -С°or the letter F indicates a malfunction. The selected function has no effect. Contact the workshop.
Power interruption
If the power supply is interrupted or there is a significant drop in battery voltage, the data stored in the information display memory will be deleted.
After connecting or charging the battery, set the date and time.
Information display. Displaying the information of the self-diagnosis system
Attention! The information display can be graphical with color data display. It is controlled and displayed in the same way as on a conventional display.
The self-diagnostic system monitors fluid levels, front brake pad thickness, automatic transmission and automatic headlight range control operation, and the condition of the exterior light bulbs and related fuses and wiring.
A lamp failure is only shown on the display after the corresponding circuit has been switched on.
After the ignition is switched on, the system automatically checks the status of the above components.
If all tested functions are OK, the display Bremslicht Priifung (brake light check) goes out after pressing the brake pedal once.
In the event of malfunctions, corresponding warnings appear on the display. In addition, the word «SNESK» (examination). This word is not displayed on vehicles with a telephone. If there are several faults, the warnings are displayed in sequence, one after the other.
Some of the warnings appear in abbreviated form.
Olstancl prufen (check engine oil level) Kuhlmittel Stand (coolant level) Automatik Getriebe (automatic transmission)
Warns of a malfunction of the automatic transmission. Automatic gear shifting is not performed. Shift gears manually. Contact the relevant workshop.
Leuchtweitenregulierung Fahrlicht (automatic headlight range adjustment)
Warns of a malfunction of the automatic headlight range control.
Bremsbelag (brake pads)
The front brake pads are worn to the minimum allowable thickness.
Bremslicht Sicherung (brake light fuse)
The fuse has blown. Install a new fuse only after the cause of the blown fuse has been eliminated.
Bremslicht (stop signal)
Stop light bulb burned out.
Fahrlicht (headlight) Rucklicht (rear headlight)
Burnt out headlight or taillight bulb.
Waschwasser Stand (washer fluid level)
Bring the fluid level up to normal.
If a fault warning appears on the display, the on-board computer information cannot be called up on the display.
Acknowledge the warning by pressing the S or R button on the windshield wiper stalk.
If the self-diagnosis system generates several warnings, each of them must be acknowledged sequentially, one after the other.
Once the warning has been acknowledged, it no longer appears on the display and the display is free for on-board computer information. Word «SNESK» remains on the right side of the display as a reminder that the self-diagnosis system has detected one or more faults.
Warnings:
- Bremslicht (stop signal)
- Sicherung (brake light fuse)
- Fahrlicht (headlight)
- Rucklicht (rear headlight)
appear again 15 minutes after confirmation of their receipt.
After the ignition is switched off and switched on again, the stored fault warnings appear on the display one after the other.
After troubleshooting, warnings are automatically cleared.
On-board computer data display
The on-board computer constantly processes incoming information. The output of the on-board computer data on the display is carried out using two buttons on the steering column switch for the glass cleaners.
Button S - function selection
Press until the desired function appears on the display (information):
- current fuel consumption (Mom.Verbr);
- average fuel consumption (Verbrauch);
- absolute fuel consumption (A (3s. Verbr);
- average speed (Geschw.);
- distance traveled (Wegstrecke);
- power reserve (distance that can be traveled with the fuel in the tank) (Reichweite);
- travel time (Stoppuhr);
- outdoor temperature (Aussen temp.).
Some information appears on the display in abbreviated form.
Diagnostic warnings always take precedence over on-board computer information.
The R button resets the displayed information.
If the display shows functions such as:
- average fuel consumption;
- absolute fuel consumption;
- average speed;
- distance traveled;
their data is output simultaneously if the R button is pressed for more than 2 seconds.
In this case, the previous values are automatically deleted. Travel time is reset at the same time.
Data such as current fuel consumption and outside temperature are not deleted.
Display of current fuel consumption
Depending on the speed of the car, the form of information presentation changes. At speeds below 13 km/h, the consumption is displayed in liters per hour.
At speeds above 13 km/h, consumption is displayed in liters per 100 km.
At idle, the display shows 0.0 liters per 100 km.
Average fuel consumption
The calculation of the average fuel consumption can be restarted at any time (e.g. after refueling), by pressing the R button.
The average fuel consumption is displayed in liters per 100 km.
Absolute fuel consumption
The display shows the amount of fuel used. The measurement can be restarted at any time by pressing the R button. The consumption is displayed in liters.
Average speed
The average speed calculation can be restarted at any time by pressing the R button.
The time of stops and parking, if the ignition was turned off at the same time, is not taken into account in the given data.
The average speed is displayed in km/h.
Distance
Shows the distance travelled. The calculation can be carried out at any time by pressing the R button.
The distance is displayed in kilometers.
Power reserve over 50 km
The power reserve is calculated based on the current fuel supply in the tank and its average consumption over the last 20-30 km of the trip.
After refuelling, the new range value is shown on the display when the R button is pressed or appears automatically after the vehicle has been driven a certain distance.
The power reserve is displayed in kilometers.
Range less than 50 km
If there is not enough fuel in the tank to travel 50 km, the display automatically, without pressing the S button, displays the function «Power reserve».
This warning can be cleared from the display by selecting any other function. After stopping with the ignition off, the function «Power reserve» displayed automatically.
Travel time
Resetting and starting the timer is carried out by successive pressing of the R button.
The timer shows the travel time. When the ignition is turned off, the timer stops. When the ignition is turned on, the timer starts from the value at which it was stopped.
Outside temperature
A decrease in the outdoor temperature is displayed immediately, while an increase is displayed after some delay.
To warn the driver about possible icing of the road, the display automatically displays the function «Outside temperature», if it drops to -3°C or lower. The temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius.
