Central locking — device (Opel Omega B2)

The central lock of the OPEL OMEGA car consists of six electric motors (for locking four doors, the trunk lid or rear door and the fuel filler flap). The central locking control unit is located behind the side trim on the right in the front passenger footwell. The doors are locked and unlocked by locking and unlocking the front doors with the key or remote control. If the system is overloaded, (due to frequent switching on and off at short intervals) power supply is interrupted for 30 seconds.



Holding the key in the lock (or the button on the remote control) in the "lock" position for at least one second, you can simultaneously close the sunroof and raise the lowered windows. If this function does not work, then you need to program the electronic unit. To do this, you need to close the doors, turn on the ignition, close each window, holding the button after closing for another 5 seconds.

If the electronic unit immediately unlocks all doors again after locking, this is explained by a malfunction of the electric motor. After five attempts to lock, the electronic unit stops "noticing" the faulty electric motor, and the lock can be locked manually.
