Instrument cluster — removal and installation (Opel Omega B2)

Removal

The instrument panel can be removed without removing the steering wheel.

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. Remove the driver's side air vent grille and the center air vents.

3. Remove the upper steering column trim.

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the instrument panel from the mounting compartment (see illustration).



5. Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the multi-function display on the back of the panel, if any, by pressing the leashes and prying it off with a screwdriver (see illustration).

Installation

6. Install the shield into the mounting compartment and secure it with bolts, connecting the multi-pin plug.



7. Install the upper steering column trim.

8. Install the deflector grilles.
