Removing
1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.
2. Disconnect the washer hose from the nozzle near the left hinge.
3. Disconnect the plug of the jet heater under the cover on the right side of the fairing, and also, if available, the plug of the engine compartment light.
4. Unscrew the central bolts 1 fastening the hood to the hinges (see illustration).
5. Disconnect the gas-filled bonnet stop by depressing clip 2 of its attachment with a screwdriver (see illustration 8.4).
6. Release the hood from the guides 3 and remove, working together with an assistant..
Installing a new hood
7. Screw in the rubber buffers 4 and glue the foam pads With the help of the rubber stop buffers it will be possible to adjust the hood to the fenders (see illustration 8.4).
8. Straighten the installed hood without locking it so that the gap 5 above the headlights is from 5±1 mm, and the gap 6 between the hoods and wings is 4±1 mm (see illustration).
9. Install the fixing bracket 2 of the hood lock with spring 1, securing with a rivet, the head of which is flattened with pliers 4 (see illustration).
10. Screw the latch 8, putting on it the washer 7, the spring 6 and the washer 5 of large diameter with a thread into the opening of the hood and tighten it, ensuring its length X = 40-45 mm. Dimension X is measured from the surface of the hood to the edge of washer 7. Then, while holding the bolt with a 19mm wrench, tighten washer 5 with a 36mm wrench.
11. Connect the plugs and install the glass washer jets on the hood.
