The hood should be removed by two people with an assistant. The hood hinge can be replaced without removing the hood. If the old hood is installed, then its adjustment is not required.
Removal
1. Open the hood and place it on the support.
2. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the pipe near the left hinge.
3. Disconnect the plug from the jet heater under the cover on the right side of the fairing, and also, if equipped, the plug from the engine compartment light.
4. Unscrew the central bolts 1 securing the hood to the hinges (see illustration).

5. Disconnect the gas-filled hood strut by pressing the clamp 2 of its fastening with a screwdriver (see illustration 8.4).
6. Release the hood from the guides 3 and remove it, working together with an assistant.
Installing a new hood
7. Screw in the rubber buffers 4 and glue the foam pads. Using the rubber stop buffers, you can adjust the hood relative to the wings (see illustration 8.4).
8. Straighten the installed hood without locking it so that the gap 5 above the headlights is 5±1 mm, and the gap 6 between the hoods and fenders is 4±1 mm (see illustration).

9. Install the retaining bracket 2 of the hood lock with spring 1, securing it with a rivet, the head of which is flattened with pliers 4 (see illustration).

10. Screw in retainer 8, putting washer 7, spring 6 and large-diameter washer 5 with thread into the hood hole and tighten it, ensuring its length X = 40-45 mm. Dimension X is measured from the hood surface to the edge of washer 7. Then, holding the bolt with a 19 mm wrench, tighten washer 5 with a 36 mm wrench.
11. Connect the plugs and install the windshield washer jets on the hood.
