Door glass — removal, installation and adjustment (Opel Omega B2)

Removal and installation of glass are shown using the example of cars with electric windows. Glass with manual windows is removed and installed in the same way.

Removal



1. Remove the door trim and protective film.

2. Remove the door opening strip and high-tone speaker.

3. Unscrew bolt 4 of the front glass guide 1 and remove it (see illustration).

4. Remove the window frame seals and outside rearview mirror.

5. Remove the speaker and window regulator.

6. Remove the upper door seal.

7. Remove the glass travel limiter and remove the glass from the door shaft by pushing it upwards.

Installation



8. Insert the glass from above into the guide channel together with both sliders (see illustration).

9. Install the window regulator.



10. Install the guide and tighten the bolts 1 of its fastening by hand (see illustration).

11. Install the window frame seal and door shaft trim.

Adjustment



12. Raise and lower the door glass. Then tighten the bolts 1 of the guide (see illustration 14.10).

13. Adjust the upper glass stop so that the sealing rubber ring is not pressed in too much.

14. Raise the glass until it touches the seal. Then lower the glass and finally secure the upper stop.

15. Install the outside rearview mirror. Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
