Turn off all consumers.
The air damper should be fully open. The air filter has been removed.
Pull out the engine ventilation hose and pinch it. Connect the tachometer and CO tester. Start the engine.
Remove the seal from the adjusting screw.
Check idle speed, adjust if necessary.
Check CO content. Adjust with screw -A- in the picture above, meaning see p. 4.47.
Caution: The radiator fan must not operate during adjustments.

If the idle speed is out of order, adjust it.
Put the blue filling back in.
Attention: After adjusting the CO, put the engine crankcase ventilation hose back in place. If the CO content increases, this is not a consequence of adjustment, but of intensive engine operation in urban conditions. With fast driving in rural areas for 30 minutes, or an oil change, the CO content returns to normal.
