Checking and adjusting the throttle clearance (Opel Kadett D)

The throttle clearance is adjusted again if the throttle body is replaced or the engine stalls during warm-up.

Remove the air filter.

Connect the tachometer.

Warm up the engine to an oil temperature of 60°C.

Start the engine.



Close the air flap by pulling the cable until it stops against pin -A-, see "Air flap clearance".



Open the air damper until the pin stops against the stepped disk (arrow). Fast idle speed value see paragraph 4.47.

Adjust the speed using the screw (arrow) on the drive lever.



Place a seal on the screw.

Install filter.
