Replacing the front brake hose
J60, J61
1. Raise and secure the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheel from the vehicle.
3. Loosen connection (1) front brake hose. Plug openings to prevent dirt from entering and brake fluid from escaping.
Note. Tightening torque: 18 Nm.
4. Unscrew the hollow bolt (2) fastening the brake hose to the caliper.
Note. Tightening torque: 40 Nm.
5. Remove two spacers (3) brake hose.
Note. At each installation, replace the brake hose gaskets with new ones.
6. Remove the front brake hose (4).
7. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
8. After installing the front brake hose, bleed the brake system.
J62
1. Raise and secure the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheel from the vehicle.
3. Loosen connection (1) front brake hose. Plug openings to prevent dirt from entering and brake fluid from escaping.
Note. Tightening torque: 18 Nm.
4. Unscrew the hollow bolt (2) fastening the brake hose to the caliper.
Note. Tightening torque: 40 Nm.
5. Remove two spacers (3) brake hose.
Note. At each installation, replace the brake hose gaskets with new ones.
6. Remove the front brake hose (4).
7. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
8. After installing the front brake hose, bleed the brake system.
Replacing the rear brake hose
1. Raise and secure the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear wheel from the vehicle.
3. Loosen connection (1) rear brake line. Plug openings to prevent dirt from entering and brake fluid from escaping.
Note.
- Use a flange nut wrench on the brake line connection and a lock wrench on the brake hose.
- Tightening torque: 18 Nm.
4. Remove the brake hose retainer (2).
5. Unscrew the hollow bolt (3) fastening the brake hose to the caliper.
Note. Tightening torque: 40 Nm.
6. Remove two spacers (4) brake hose.
Note. At each installation, replace the brake hose gaskets with new ones.
7. Remove the rear brake hose (5).
8. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
9. After installing the front brake hose, bleed the brake system.
