The air intake openings in the engine compartment on the left and right outside in front of the windshield must be free for air to flow; if necessary, remove leaves, dirt or snow.

When placing items in the trunk storage compartments, do not block the air outlet openings.
Air microfilter
The air microfilter cleans the incoming air from outside or, if the circulation system is on, the air inside the cabin from dust and soot, as well as pollen and spores. A layer of activated carbon effectively removes foreign odors and harmful gases from the air.
The air microfilter must be replaced at the intervals specified in the service booklet.
Note: If the windshield fogs up in damp weather, briefly activate the system as described in the section "Removing moisture from the glass".
The air conditioner operates most efficiently when the windows and sunroof are closed. If the interior becomes very hot after prolonged exposure to sunlight, open the windows and sunroof briefly to allow the hot air to escape quickly.
Attention! When the air conditioner is on (cooling compressor) condensation water forms and flows out onto the bottom of the car.
When the air conditioner is turned on (cooling compressor) at least one air vent must be open to prevent the evaporator from becoming frosted due to insufficient air flow.
To avoid disruption of the climate control system, do not cover the sensor located between the air outlet openings under the windshield.
Maintenance
To ensure long-term operation of the system, it is necessary to turn on the air conditioner compressor for several minutes once a month, regardless of weather conditions and time of year. Turning on the air conditioner compressor at low outside temperatures is impossible.
If a malfunction occurs, contact a service station for assistance.
