The air intakes in the engine compartment on the left and right outside in front of the windshield must be free for air to enter, if necessary, remove leaves, dirt or snow.
Air outlets
When placing items in the luggage compartments, do not block the air outlets.
Air microfilter
The air microfilter removes dust and soot, as well as pollen and spores, from the outside air or, when the circulation system is on, the air inside the passenger compartment. The layer of activated carbon removes odors and harmful gases from the air well.
The air microfilter must be replaced at the intervals indicated in the service booklet.
Note. If the windshield fogs up in wet weather, briefly turn on the system as described in «Removing moisture from glasses».
The air conditioner works most effectively when the windows and retractable roof are closed. If the interior becomes very hot after prolonged exposure to sunlight, open the windows and the retractable roof for a short time to ensure that the heated air is quickly expelled.
Attention! With the air conditioner on (refrigeration compressor) condensation water is formed, flowing out on the bottom of the car.
When turning on the air conditioner (refrigeration compressor) at least one air outlet must be open so that the evaporator is not covered with frost due to insufficient air flow.
To prevent malfunction of the climate control, do not cover the sensor located between the air outlets under the windshield.
Maintenance
To ensure long-term performance of the system, it is necessary once a month, regardless of weather conditions and seasons, to turn on the air conditioning compressor for a few minutes. The air conditioning compressor cannot be switched on at low outside temperatures.
In the event of a malfunction, contact a workshop for assistance.
