Headlight adjustment (Opel Corsa B)

Correct headlight adjustment is of great importance for road safety. Accurate headlight adjustment is only possible with the use of a special device. Below we describe only the location of the headlight adjustment elements and the conditions for performing correct adjustment.


1. Check the tire inflation pressure and adjust it if necessary.

2. Load the car with a mass of 70 kg (one person) in the center of the back seat.

3. Fill the fuel tank.

4. Place the vehicle on a level surface.

5. Press the front of the car several times to ensure that the front suspension is in its working position.

6. Set the headlight range control on the instrument panel to the position "0".

7. The headlights are adjusted with the low beam on. The beam angle for regular headlights is 1.2%, i.e. 12 cm per 10 m of length. The border of light and shadow to the left of the adjustment point marked with a cross should run horizontally along the adjustment line.

8. When adjusting from the side, the border of light and shadow should run horizontally to the cross and go at an angle 15 degrees. right up.



9. The adjusting screws are accessible from the engine compartment. Turn the adjusting screws (A) and/or (B) accordingly by hand or with a Phillips screwdriver.

10. The deflection of the light beam of the fog lamp should be 20 cm by 10 m length. Adjustment is made by turning the adjusting screw.
