Attention! The fuel in the fuel system is under high pressure, so it is prohibited to loosen the fuel line connections while the engine is running or immediately after it has been stopped. To carry out repair work on the fuel system on an engine that has just been stopped, it is necessary to first reduce the fuel pressure in the fuel system. 5-6 hours after the engine has been stopped, the fuel pressure in the fuel system will drop to almost zero.
1. Place the gearshift lever in neutral and apply the parking brake.
2. Turn off the ignition and open the hood.
3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
4. Remove the cover of the fuse and relay mounting block located in the engine compartment (see Location of fuses and fusible links and their replacement).
5. Disconnect the fuel pump by removing the fuel pump fuse (No. 49, 20 A) from the mounting block.
6. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery, start the engine and let it run until the fuel rail is completely used up. After that, the engine will stall.

7. Turn off the ignition. Now you can disconnect the fuel lines.
