Replacing the rear wheel hub (Opel Astra J)

            0

You will need a 15 mm socket head.

Note: In this subsection, the replacement is described using the example of the rear left wheel hub; the right wheel hub is replaced in a similar manner.

1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and install the anti-rollback stops ("shoes") under the wheels. Loosen the wheel mounting nuts on the side of the hub to be removed. Use the jack to lift the rear of the vehicle and place it on the support. Remove the wheel and lower the parking brake lever all the way down (the car is released).

2. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the brake caliper (see Replacing the rear parking brake cables).
