1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the rear wheel arch liners (see Removal and installation mudguards).
3. Open the tailgate.

4. Remove the rear light sections installed on the body (see Replacing the rear light located on the wing).

5. From underneath the car, use a screwdriver to pry up the fasteners of the two pins that secure the bumper to the amplifier…

Note: This is how the pins that attach the bumper to the amplifier are located.

6. …pull the latches down…

7. …and remove the pistons.

8. Grasp the side of the bumper on the left side of the car and carefully, one at a time, remove the bumper mounting clips on the body from the bumper holes, then detach the bumper from the side of the body.

9. Use a screwdriver to press the fasteners of the upper fastening of the bumper corner to the rear panel of the body…

10. …and detach the bumper corner from the bracket on the rear panel.
11. Similarly, detach the right corner of the bumper from the body.

12. Remove the two lugs on the top edge of the rear bumper from the holders on the rear bumper trunk trim…

13. …and remove the bumper.

14. On both sides of the car, unscrew the three nuts securing the bumper reinforcement…

15. …and take it off.
16. Install the rear bumper and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
