Note: When operating with a trailer, the external lighting of the trailer is also monitored.
If a malfunction is detected in any of the systems, a corresponding warning message appears in the display field. If there are several warning messages, they are displayed in turn.
Note: Some warning messages are displayed using abbreviations.
When a message is displayed on the screen, it must be acknowledged as described above.
The following are the most important warning messages:
- Remote Control/Battery checkBattery voltage of the remote control device or electronic key (Open&Start system) too low - replace the battery (see Section 8).
- Brakelight/switch check Fault - brake lights do not light when braking. Repair the problem immediately - contact an Opel workshop.
- Safeguard/check Malfunction - failure in the anti-theft alarm system, contact an Opel service station to eliminate the malfunction.
- In the event of an external lighting failure, the relevant source of failure is indicated by text, for example: Brakelight/check right.
- On models equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, if the pressure is too low, a message will appear indicating the tire to be checked, for example:Tyre pressure/check rear rightturn (value in bar) - check the tire pressure as soon as possible with a calibrated pressure gauge, preferably at the nearest service station.
- If there is a significant drop in air pressure, a corresponding message will be displayed indicating the tire, for example: Attention! Rear left tyre pressure loss (value in bar) Stop immediately and check tires.
- Washer Fluid Level/check Windshield washer fluid level in reservoir too low - top up (see chapter 1).
- Coolant/Level check Engine coolant level too low - check coolant level immediately (see chapter 1).
Note: If the fluid level is too low, the rear window and headlight washers (with appropriate equipment) turn off automatically.
