Attention! Shock absorbers are changed in pairs.

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands, remove the wheels.

2. On station wagon models with pneumatic height adjustment of the rear suspension, remove the cover of the right rear light in the luggage compartment and release air from the system by opening the valve. Disconnect the air system tube on the shock absorber by removing the clamp.

3. Raise the suspension by placing a jack under the lever.

4. Unscrew the lower shock absorber mounting bolt (see photo).

5. Unscrew the top bolt (see photo) and remove the shock absorber.

6. Check the shock absorber piston stroke by clamping the shock absorber in a vice by the lower mount.

If intermittent resistance to the piston movement is felt, replace the shock absorber. Check the condition of the rubber bushings; if wear of the bushings is detected, replace the shock absorber assembly.

7. Installation is performed in the reverse order. On models with automatic suspension height adjustment, create a pressure in the pneumatic system of 0.8 atm, then adjust the pressure according to the load.
