Removal and installation the air conditioning receiver-dryer (Opel Astra G)

1. Discharge the air conditioning system in a specialized workshop.

2. If equipped, open the hood and disconnect the wiring from the auxiliary cooling fan motor located under the front bumper. Remove the fan assembly from the front of the condenser.

3. On models without an additional fan, remove the front bumper (see Chapter Body).

4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the refrigeration pipe from the receiver-dryer.

5. Unscrew the receiver-dryer cover from the condenser.

6. Remove the receiver-dryer, disconnect the electrical wiring and remove the pressure switch in the system.

7. Remove the receiver-drier.

Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Recharging the air conditioning system must be done in a car service workshop.
