A few words about this guide

This manual covers Sedan, Hatchback, Station wagon models with in-line 4-cylinder petrol engines DOHC: 1.6, 1.8, 2.2 l, diesel DOHC 1.9 l, SOHC: 1.9, 2.0 and 2.2 l, as well as with 6-cylinder V-shaped petrol 3.2 l and diesel 3.0 engines, equipped with 5- or 6-speed manual transmission, or 5- or 6-speed AT produced since 2002.

The manual is based on the service station's experience and contains technical specifications, descriptions of repairs for individual components, a section on troubleshooting and recommendations for servicing Opel Vectra C and Signum vehicles.

A separate Chapter is intended to familiarize the car owner with its controls and safe operation techniques.

For car owners and auto repair shop workers.

Due to the fact that the manufacturer constantly makes changes to the design of engines, the publisher is not responsible for possible discrepancies between the parameters of your engine and the data presented in the Manual.

The publisher is not responsible for any mechanical damage or injuries resulting from self-repair.

Purpose

This Manual is designed to help the car owner fully discover and master the capabilities of his car, as well as avoid dependence on service stations when carrying out most of the work of current maintenance and minor repairs. Quite a lot of attention in the Manual is given to diagnostics of malfunctions of units and systems of the car (in case of their refusal), as well as recommendations and practical advice on eliminating their causes. The Manual includes descriptions of mandatory routine maintenance procedures for the vehicle and a schedule for their implementation. The data collected and presented in the Manual allows the vehicle owner to determine what maintenance work should be done and when, as well as whether it makes sense to try to do it on their own, or to contact a representative office of the manufacturer or a car service workshop. This book will also be of interest to employees of non-specialized service stations who have to deal with the maintenance and repair of the models described in the Manual. The main attention is paid to routine and medium repairs of vehicles based on the replacement of failed units, assemblies and replaceable system elements.
