4.1 Hood release lever handle
For the final release of the hood, go around the car in front and press the release lever of the additional lock, located approximately a palm's width to the right (looking at the car from the front) hood center (see illustration 4.2). After releasing the latch, raise the hood, after making sure that the wiper arms are not retracted from the glass. The hood is held open automatically by a gas-filled strut.
4.2 Releasing the lever of the additional hood lock
Before closing the hood, make sure that no tools, rags or other foreign objects have been left in the engine compartment.
To close, gently pull the hood down, lower it, leaving a gap of about 20 cm, then release it. To check that the hood is securely locked in the closed position, pull up on the front edge of the hood.
Note: In order to avoid damage to the paintwork, you should not press the loosely closed hood with your hands - it will be correct to open it again and try again to close it with release from a small height.
