            0

Caution: When equipping your vehicle with side airbags, strictly follow the safety precautions!

1. Disconnect the wires and insulate the battery terminals. Wait at least 1 minute to allow the SRS independent power supply capacitor to discharge completely.

2. Remove the headrest of the corresponding front seat.

3. Move the front seat forward and adjust the seatback to the upright position.

4. Remove the decorative cover of the lower seat belt anchor near the front seat, unscrew the fastening screw and separate the belt from the seat (see accompanying illustration).

5. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors under the front seat.

Caution: Before disconnecting the side airbag connector, remove any static electricity by briefly touching a metal, unpainted part of the vehicle body, such as a door lock bracket!

6. Remove the 2 rear bolts securing the front seat runners to the floor (see accompanying illustration). Pull the front seat back and remove it together with the runners from the front mountings.

7. Run the threads of the front seat mounting bolts and the seat belt mounting screw, clean them and lubricate them with a locking compound (for example, Loctite 243).

8. Insert the seat into the front mountings and connect the electrical wiring connectors.

9. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When finished, turn on the ignition and check the serviceability of the SRS using the control lamp on the instrument panel.
