The fuel level sensor rarely gives absolutely accurate information. A sensor that gives distorted information can be corrected by bending the float rocker.
This is the fuel leakage blockage described on page 68 with the following details:
1 - tube to the filter with activated carbon;
2 - container for blocking fuel leakage, integrated into the filler neck;
3 - valve with leakage blocking;
4 - tube to the fuel tank.
Dismantling the fuel level sensor
Preliminary work is described in the section «Removing the fuel pump» (later in this chapter).
Unlock and remove the fuel gauge wire connector on the cap. Set the cap aside.
Press the fuel level sensor pull-out hook outwards, at the same time pull the sensor out of the pump housing.
When installing, press the fuel level sensor with an audible sound into the pump housing.
