Gearbox Oil Temperature Sensor (Opel Vectra B)

The temperature sensor is screwed into the base of the front of the gearbox.

Removal

1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.

3. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector located on the wires and release the sensor wiring from the mounting brackets.



4. Unscrew the bolts (indicated by arrows) and remove the sensor cover.



5. Unscrew the temperature sensor (indicated by the arrow) from the gearbox housing. Quickly close the temperature sensor installation socket with a plug.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, a new sealing ring must be installed on the sensor.
