Doors — removal and installation (Opel Vectra B)

Removal

1. The door hinges are welded to the door and pillar. If adjustment is necessary, use special tools to bend the hinges. Open the door and disconnect the electrical connector located on the front end of the door.



2. Unscrew the bolt securing the door opening stop to the door.

3. Remove the plastic covers from the door hinge pins. Use a punch to knock out the hinge pins and remove the door.

Installation

1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Check that the door lock fits neatly onto the strike plate located on the pillar.



2. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the strike plate mounting screws, move the strike plate and tighten the mounting screws.
