2. Apply the handbrake, then (where there are) unfasten from the bottom of the car and remove the heat shields to get access to flexible joints.
3. When removing the rear elastic hinge, unfasten the bracket for the central bearing of the cardan shaft from the bottom of the car and support the shaft with an axial support.
4. Detach the driveshaft flange from the elastic joint.
5. Detach the elastic joint from the differential and/or transmission flange.
6. Move the corresponding part of the cardan shaft to the central bearing and remove the elastic joint. If necessary, use a lever to push the propeller shaft away from the drive flange.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal paying attention to the following:
- A) attach the elastic joint first to the cardan shaft, and then to
- transmission/final drive flange,
- b) tighten all nuts and bolts with the tightening torque specified specifications,
- V) where necessary, install the center bearing bracket
- cardan shaft on the bottom of the car (see chapter 11), install heat shields.
