OHV 1.0L engine
During operation, the contacts of the breaker burn out. In addition, the polymer sliding element wears out. Because of this, the contact gap is reduced. Ignition power is reduced.
Removing
Remove the protective cap, unscrew the distributor cap.
Remove the distributor slider and moisture-proof cover.
Unscrew the distributor contact from the contact plate (arrow).
Installation
Install new breaker contacts and slightly tighten the fastening screw.
Adjust the contact of the breaker using a flat probe 0.4 mm, namely, the probe should move with difficulty between the contact planes.
Attention: Before adjusting, turn the engine crankshaft by the bolt so that the cam of the ignition distributor shaft raises the breaker contact as much as possible. The plastic slider of the breaker lever should rest against the highest point of the cam.
To adjust the contacts of the breaker, a screwdriver is inserted into the thickening of the plate so that it simultaneously engages with the groove of the breaker.
Attention: Then, if possible, from adjusting the breaker contacts with a device for measuring the angle of the closed state, see point 23.8.
Tighten the screw securing the contact plate.
Lubricate the cam with special grease (A) and the thickened part of the breaker hammer.
Lubricate with one drop of engine oil the sliding parts of the contact group and the lubricating cloth (IN) in a fist.
Attention: Do not allow grease to get on the contact surfaces, otherwise the engine will not start.
Install the protective cover of the ignition distributor and the distributor slider.
Insert the distributor slider into the groove of the ignition distributor shaft with rotating movements.
Check distributor cap. Replace defective cover. Clean the distributor cap inside and out.
Note the perfect fit and condition of the carbon contact. Install the distributor cover and screw it on.
Install protective cap.
Adjust ignition.
