OHV 1.0L engine
For fine adjustment of breaker contacts (closing angle) you need a device that measures the angle of the closed state. The closed angle should also be checked before every ignition adjustment. If no device is available to measure the angle of the closed state, adjustment can be made using a flat feeler gauge 0.4 mm thick.
Examination
Connect the measuring device according to the instructions.
Check the value of the angle of the closed state at idle. Should be 50°±3°. If the nominal value is not reached, adjust.
Adjustment
Remove distributor cap.
Slightly loosen the fixing bolt of the contact (top arrow).
Attention: The bearing plate remains installed.
At starting speed (start the engine) change the gap between the contacts with a screwdriver. Insert a screwdriver so that it enters the recess of the breaker and at the same time is between both thickenings (bottom arrow).
When the nominal value of 50°±3°is reached, tighten the fixing bolts.
Put on the distributor cap, set 1000 rpm. Take readings from the device, if the nominal value is not reached, repeat the adjustment.
Give twice the number of revolutions for a short time, the value to be checked may deviate only slightly by±1°. Large deviations indicate wear on the distributor shaft. In this case, have the ignition distributor checked by a specialist workshop.
Check ignition timing.
Install cover on distributor.
