Removing
1. Install EN-38122-A holder (1).
Note. The EN-43653 Flywheel Retainer must be used along with EN-38122-A to prevent crankshaft rotation.
2. Unscrew the balancer pulley bolt with washer. Use holder EM-38122-A with extension rod to prevent crankshaft rotation when the bolt is loosened. After unscrewing, send the bolt to the scrap.
3. Remove the crankshaft balancer (1), using a universal puller.
Installation
1. Install balancer pulley (2) on rail EN-48585 (1). Make sure that the keyway and the plane of the balancer pulley are correctly aligned with the oil pump drive.
Attention. Make sure that the balancer pulley is correctly positioned in relation to the crankshaft, otherwise severe engine damage may result.
2. Install the crankshaft balancer on the end of the crankshaft.
3. Install a new mounting bolt. Using EN-38122-A Holder (1) and extension rod, tighten the fastening bolt to 100 Nm, then tighten another 125°using tool EN-45059.
Note. The EN-43653 Flywheel Retainer must be used along with EN-38122-A to prevent crankshaft rotation.
Attention. Always use a new balance shaft bolt.
4. Install the EN-48953 retainer (1), by screwing the bolts of its fastening into the cylinder head with a torque of 10 Nm.
5. Loosen the drive chain tensioner by applying a counterclockwise torque of 45 Nm to the crankshaft balancer pulley bolt.
6. Remove the EN-48953 retainer.
