Replacing the exhaust system suspension cushions (Opel Astra J)

The rubber mounts of the exhaust system suspension are replaced if, due to damage or excessive deformation, the system elements begin to knock when in contact with the body or other vehicle components.

To replace suspension cushions main and additional mufflers do the following.

Note: To make it easier to remove a damaged pillow, cut it with a knife until the holes are visible.

5. Install the new cushion in the reverse order of removal.

Note: To make it easier to install the cushion, lubricate the muffler and body brackets with a soap solution.
