Exhaust system suspension cushions — replacement (Opel Zafira A)

The necessity of performing this operation should be determined during the inspection of the technical condition of the exhaust system (see above, "Exhaust system - technical condition check"). Replacement of all suspension cushions (see "Exhaust system - design description") is produced in a similar manner.

Recommendation: When replacing exhaust system components, replace its suspension mounts, even if they have no visible damage.

Sequence of execution

1. Place the vehicle on an inspection ditch or overpass (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. To replace the suspension cushion, remove it from the bracket on the car body using a slotted screwdriver.



3. Simultaneously moving the cushion along the body bracket, we also move it along the bracket on the exhaust system element.

Recommendation: If the suspension cushion needs to be replaced, it can be cut to make removal easier.

4. Install the pillow in the reverse order.
