Replacing the fuel level indicator sensor (Opel Astra J)

The fuel level indicator sensor is located in the fuel tank (on the fuel module body).



1. Remove the fuel module (see Removal, installation and repair of the fuel pump).



2. Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the spring ground.

3. Squeeze the latch…



4. …and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel module cover.



5. Press the latch..



6. …and remove the fuel level indicator from the fuel module housing.



7. Install the new fuel gauge and other removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
