Astra Models
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).
2. Remove the diagnostic connector cover on the center console under the parking brake lever.
3. Using a plastic wedge or other available tool, pry the parking brake lever boot out of the console and lift it up to gain access to the parking brake arming indicator light switch.
4. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the sensor (see accompanying illustration), unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the sensor from the parking brake lever bracket.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

6. To remove the sensor, you must first remove the center console (see Chapter 11). The further order is completely consistent with that described above.
