Attention! The voltage in electronic ignition systems is much higher than the voltage in conventional ignition systems. When working with the system with the ignition on, extreme caution must be exercised. People with a surgically implanted pacemaker should not carry out repairs on the ignition system.
In the event of a malfunction in the engine management system (fuel injection / ignition) make sure, first of all, that the cause of this is not electrical contacts. Check the air filter for clogs, make sure the spark plugs are in good condition and set to the correct gap, that the breather hoses are not damaged (see relevant chapter). Also check that the accelerator cable is properly adjusted. If the engine runs rough, check compression and valve clearances. If, after the checks carried out, you have not found out the cause of the malfunction, it is necessary that the car be tested by specialists at a service station. The wiring block connector is located in the engine control circuit, to which a special diagnostic tester can be connected. The tester will quickly identify the problem, eliminating the need to individually check the system components and, with it, the possibility of damaging the ECU. With the right diagnostic equipment, you can test the engine management system as much as possible.
Checks that you can do yourself are spark plug checks. If necessary, you can also check the wiring and wire connections by first disconnecting the computer clamp with the ignition off.
Checking the ignition system is carried out in a car service. It is independently allowed to check the condition of connectors, wires and candles.
