Removal

Astra Models

Central deflectors

1. To remove the deflector grille from the central part of the front panel, insert the tips of small screwdrivers into the slots on both of its grilles. Having thus released the fastening clamps, carefully remove the grille from the instrument panel. Removing the deflector housing requires dismantling the instrument panel (see Chapter Body) and the hazard warning switch.

Left (driver's) side deflector

1. Remove the exterior lighting control switch (see Chapter On-board electrical equipment). Turn the deflector down to the stop and unscrew three through the grille (two top and one bottom) mounting screws. The screws will fall into the deflector housing - try not to let them fall into the rear vent. Disconnect the wiring and remove the deflector.

Right side deflector

Open the glove compartment, then turn the deflector down until it stops and unscrew three screws through the grille (two top and one bottom) mounting screws. Remove the deflector assembly from the instrument panel.

Zafira Models

Central deflectors

The central deflector is part of the front panel (see Chapter Body).

Side deflectors

1. To remove the right side deflector, first remove the glove compartment (see Chapter Body).

2. Pull the upper vent grille out of the air duct. Remove the upper and lower mounting screws and remove the deflector.

Rear deflectors

1. Remove the trim panel under the parking brake lever. Remove the protective cover of the lever. Put your hand into the resulting hole and push the deflector out.

Installation

The installation of the central deflectors is carried out in the reverse order of their dismantling.

1. To install the side deflectors on Astra models, use a screwdriver to pry up the side retainer, then turn the grille so that the upper mounting screws are accessible. The screws can now be installed without the risk of losing them by falling into the air vent. On Zafira models, install the side deflectors in the reverse order to their removal.

The rear deflectors are installed in the reverse order of removal of the corresponding components.
