Check Engine Light (Opel Vectra B)

This light comes on while driving if a fault occurs that could lead to engine damage. The ignition/injection control unit "stores" the malfunction that has occurred once in the so-called fault memory and reports it when interrogated with a reading device in the workshop.

For self-monitoring, the light comes on when the ignition is turned on and goes out when the engine is running.
