Gearbox oil change (Opel Vectra B)

1. Take the vehicle for a short drive to bring the transmission up to operating temperature.

2. Place the vehicle on a lift or over an inspection pit.



3. Remove the oil level indicator, then place a suitable container under the transmission drain plug. The drain plug (1) is located on the rear right side of the transmission housing.

4. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil from the gearbox.

5. Place the sealing washer on the plug and screw the plug into place.

6. Fill the gearbox with oil through the oil level dipstick tube.

7. Run the engine at idle speed for a few minutes, turn off the engine and check the gearbox oil level. Add oil if necessary. Perform a control check and recheck the oil level.
