Removing
Gasoline engines
1. The sensor is screwed into the rear oil pump housing, which is located on the front of the engine. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the engine mudguard.
2. Remove the electrical connector from the sensor, unscrew the sensor and remove it together with the O-ring.
Diesel engines
1. On 1.7 liter engines, the oil pressure sensor is screwed into the left end of the cylinder head.
2. On 2.0 liter engines, the oil pressure sensor is screwed into the rear end of the cylinder head. To access the sensor, lift the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove the engine mudguard. The sensor is accessible from the bottom of the engine compartment.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the sensor.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
